Position Summary

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of technology projects that are critical to our construction projects and business operations. This role requires a unique blend of traditional IT project management skills and a deep understanding of construction industry processes. You will bridge the gap between site operations, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver solutions that improve efficiency, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery:

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful closure of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders from both IT and construction divisions.
  • Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and schedules using appropriate methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall).
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing effective contingency plans.

Construction Technology Focus:

  • Manage the implementation and integration of construction-specific software and platforms, such as:
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) Collaboration Platforms (e.g., Autodesk BIM 360/Construction Cloud, Revit)
  • Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) (e.g., Aconex, Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project Online)
  • Document Management Systems (DMS)
  • ERP Systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion) for project costing and finance modules.
  • IoT and Digital Twin initiatives for site monitoring and safety.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

  • Act as the primary liaison between IT, construction project teams, site staff, and external software vendors.
  • Translate complex business needs from construction stakeholders into clear technical requirements for the IT team and vendors.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and steering committees.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2 years of experience managing projects within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven experience managing the implementation of at least one of the following: BIM platforms, PMIS, ERP systems, or large-scale DMS.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services (Azure/AWS), and data security principles.
  • A solid understanding of construction project lifecycles, terminology, and key processes (e.g., tendering, design, construction, handover) is essential.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and build strong relationships with diverse teams.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority, motivate stakeholders, and drive projects to completion.
