HR Director - Construction (5.5 Working Days)

 Job Description:

The HR Director will oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and workforce needs in the construction sector. The role requires strong leadership, solid knowledge of Malaysian labor law, and proven experience in managing large workforces. This position manages around 300 employees and requires a hands-on leader. Immediate availability is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Drive workforce planning, retention, and engagement for project and site teams.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices support business objectives.
  • Oversee training, development, and talent management initiatives.
    

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in senior HR leadership, preferably in construction or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian labor law and HR best practices.
  • Chinese proficiency highly encouraged (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Immediate availability highly advantageous.
