Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated MEP Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for large-scale construction projects in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in MEP systems, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex projects from conception to completion.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of MEP systems for construction projects.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Design & Technical Coordination

  • Review MEP design drawings, specifications, and technical documents for compliance with client requirements and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
  • Chair MEP coordination meetings and workshops.

Contract & Vendor Management

  • Manage procurement processes for MEP packages, including tender evaluation, subcontractor selection, and negotiation.
  • Oversee subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Administer contracts, variations, and claims related to MEP works.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all MEP installations comply with Hong Kong building codes, safety standards (e.g., FSD, EMSD), and environmental regulations.
  • Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular site inspections.
  • Lead testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams on MEP-related matters.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to senior management.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Foster a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP project management, preferably within Hong Kong’s construction industry.
  • Proven experience managing MEP systems for large-scale projects (e.g., high-rise buildings, hospitals, data centers, commercial complexes).
  • Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks), MS Project, and AutoCAD.
  • In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong MEP standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
