Our client is a leading global professional services firm specializing in commercial real estate services and investment management, assisting clients with buying, building, occupying, managing, and investing in various property types.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Engineering Operations for the South East Asia region. This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for driving engineering excellence, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering strong client relationships across our client's Work Dynamics (WD) accounts and critical sites within the South East Asia hub. The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance, implement best practices, and lead the deployment of advanced engineering solutions to achieve superior service delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert engineering leadership and guidance to Work Dynamics (WD) account-based teams on Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and Engineering matters.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Sales and Solutions Development teams and regional Engineering Solutions leads, contributing to major bids and representing the IFM and Engineering Operations (EO) Centre of Expertise.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key client representatives, promoting our client's Engineering Operations platform and serving as a crucial liaison between the broader organization and clients.
- Monitor market trends and industry changes to ensure the delivery of best-in-class Engineering and IFM services across the region.
- Oversee the implementation of annual compliance and audit programs for all South East Asia (SEA) and related Work Dynamics (WD) accounts and critical sites, ensuring JCAP assessments and audits are conducted across a representative sample. Personally conduct a minimum of five building audits annually to demonstrate leadership and provide hands-on training.
- Lead engagement with the top 10 accounts in SEA for engineering support, optimization, and transition. Support the deployment of engineering products such as Capital Asset Renewal and Precision Maintenance+ (our client's Reliability Centred Maintenance program).
- Drive the implementation of maintenance delivery strategies leveraging IoT-enabled Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) Platforms and digitized maintenance platforms like Corrigo, collaborating closely with the Intelligent Operations Centre.
- Implement standard business operating mechanisms, including regular team meetings, strategic review forums, training conferences, and robust analysis and reporting processes, to ensure team engagement, alignment, and efficient engineering operations across the South Asia hub.
- Act as an IFM and Engineering Operations (EO) SME for building operations and incident management, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and their application across similar sites and industries.
- Actively participate in Engineering Operations activities, attending necessary meetings, and developing and implementing priority programs and procedures to support the overall engineering platform and strategy.
- Champion and support the use of our client's Incident Manager and the implementation of standard Incident Management procedures to ensure a consistent regional approach and accurate recording of all relevant incidents via the incident reporting system.
- Ensure all facility teams have access to and adhere to standardized policies and procedures for all building operations, including the implementation of our client's Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., Corrigo) or Permit to Work Systems (e.g., the company Onsite) where applicable.
- Provide expert technical advice and consultancy to client representatives and our client's facilities management and Engineering Operations teams as needed.
- Attend Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for major accounts within the hub as reasonably achievable.
- Collaborate with the Head of Critical Environments to support the implementation of the Critical Environment Management (CEM) program within the hub.
- Establish and deliver regular IFM and Engineering-related training to relevant Work Dynamics team members to maintain and enhance technical skills.
- Actively promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in alignment with employee progression plans to foster high motivation among hub staff.
Key Result Areas
- Achieve all Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and Engineering Operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations.
- Ensure high client satisfaction ratings from key client stakeholders and Hub Work Dynamics management.
- Successfully implement the Regional and China Engineering and MES business plan and associated operating mechanisms.
- Drive successful integration and alignment of the Engineering and Operations team with the South East Asia Global Head Office (GHO).
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in building operations, commissioning, and risk management.
- Proven experience in a regional or global engineering leadership role is a prerequisite.
