Program Manager
Job Description:
Position Overview
The Enterprise Program Manager will lead the delivery of a large-scale, cross-functional enterprise initiative. This role is responsible for aligning strategy with execution across multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring accountability, and driving successful outcomes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
The Program Manager will establish governance frameworks, operating models, and delivery standards while coaching teams and improving ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Accountability
- Own end-to-end delivery of a complex, multi-workstream program
- Define program vision, structure, and execution strategy
- Drive alignment across product, engineering, UX, vendors, and stakeholders
- Ensure accountability and clarity at all levels
Operating Model & Governance
- Design and implement program governance and operating cadence
- Define roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths
- Lead steering committees and governance forums
- Ensure adherence to program standards and best practices
Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain an integrated master roadmap
- Identify and manage cross-workstream dependencies
- Lead periodic planning and prioritization cycles
- Ensure delivery is on time, within scope, and within budget
Team Organization & Enablement
- Structure teams for clarity and effectiveness
- Coach product managers, project managers, and team leads
- Establish expectations for deliverables and communication
- Address gaps in performance and execution
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for program outcomes (in partnership with Product Managers)
- Deliver clear, concise executive-level reporting
- Translate complex information into actionable insights
- Facilitate alignment and resolve cross-team conflicts
Risk, Issue & Decision Management
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and blockers
- Drive mitigation strategies and resolution
- Escalate critical issues with clear recommendations
- Enable timely, informed decision-making
Financial & Vendor Oversight
- Manage program budget, forecasting, and financial tracking
- Oversee vendor performance and accountability
- Ensure alignment of contracts, procurement, and deliverables with program goals
Additional Responsibilities
- Support Agile team coordination and Scrum activities
- Assist Scrum Masters with ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives)
- Track project progress, timelines, and deliverables
- Support Product Managers in tracking objectives and key results
- Maintain project documentation and reporting tools
- Facilitate communication between technical and business teams
- Monitor team performance using Agile metrics
- Contribute to leadership presentations and reporting
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience
- 8–10 years of program or portfolio management experience
- Proven success managing large-scale, multi-year, multi-million-dollar programs
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams
- Experience working with internal teams and external vendors
Leadership & Communication
- Ability to lead and influence without direct authority
- Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
- Comfortable engaging in critical conversations with senior stakeholders
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Delivery & Execution
- Deep expertise in governance, planning, and execution frameworks
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous or underperforming environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum)
- Experience building or stabilizing early-stage programs
