About the Role:

As a Project Manufacturing Estimator, you'll be the go-to person for transforming creative ideas and complex designs into accurate, competitive, and realistic project quotes. Youll work closely with engineers, designers, and customers to evaluate project specs, recommend manufacturing processes, and price out materials, labor, and timelines.

Your ability to understand custom fabrication, additive manufacturing, and advanced prototyping is key. You wont just crunch numbers you will shape how projects come to life.

What Youll Do:

  • Analyze RFQs, engineering drawings, CAD files, and customer specifications to develop detailed cost and time estimates

  • Recommend the most efficient manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies for each job (CNC machining, welding, laser cutting, 3D printing, etc.)

  • Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to align capabilities with customer needs

  • Source and price materials, subcontractor services, and finishing processes

  • Track project timelines, capacity, and cost variables to create accurate and profitable quotes

  • Build clear, professional quotes and communicate them effectively to internal teams and clients

  • Support customer conversations with technical insights, timelines, and cost breakdowns

  • Help streamline and improve estimation processes using internal tools and best practices

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing estimating, project coordination, or a related technical role

  • Strong understanding of machining, metal fabrication, welding, and/or additive manufacturing

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and 3D CAD models

  • Comfortable using estimating tools, spreadsheets, and ERP/MRP systems

  • Strong attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving

  • Excellent communication and customer service skillsyoull be talking to clients, not just spreadsheets

  • A proactive mindset and the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-first environment

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in prototype or low-volume manufacturing

  • Experience with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or other CAD/CAM tools

  • Familiarity with materials sourcing and vendor negotiation
