Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR leader and business partner for a large manufacturing site.
  • Partner with site leadership to support workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, organizational design, and employee engagement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop HR team members while ensuring strong day-to-day HR support across the site.
  • Provide guidance to leaders and employees on HR policies, employment practices, compliance requirements, and workplace concerns.
  • Lead or support employee relations investigations, corrective actions, performance issues, and conflict resolution.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits communication, compensation processes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and other HR transactions.
  • Establish, improve, and maintain HR processes, procedures, and best practices for the site.
  • Partner with corporate HR resources and business leaders to support broader HR initiatives and company goals.
  • Prepare and deliver employee communications related to HR programs, policies, benefits, compensation, and organizational updates.
  • Track, analyze, and report on HR metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor employment law updates, industry trends, and compliance requirements relevant to the site.
  • Maintain confidentiality and operate with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives at the site and broader organizational level.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing or automotive-style production environments.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
  • Experience supporting plant start-up, site stabilization, rapid growth, or major operational change.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a practical, confident HR leader who can balance strategy with execution. This person should be comfortable working in a plant environment, partnering with operational leaders, and handling complex people issues with urgency and professionalism.

This role is best suited for someone who is collaborative, direct, resilient, and comfortable having tough conversations. The team needs a leader who can build credibility quickly, support a demanding workforce, and help create consistency in a high-volume environment.
