Job Description:
As a Purchasing Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our company's procurement processes. Your primary responsibility will be to source and purchase high-quality materials, equipment, and supplies at the best possible price for our clients. You will also be responsible for negotiating contracts and managing relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies for our clients
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for adjustments
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their purchasing needs and provide support
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all purchasing activities
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to inform purchasing decisions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of purchasing processes and best practices
- Familiarity with sourcing and procurement software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
