MEP Quantity Surveyor (Commercial)

Job Title: MEP Quantity Surveyor (Commercial)
Location: Cairo, Egypt

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated MEP Quantity Surveyor (Commercial) with around 4 years of experience to join our team in Cairo. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the commercial and cost control functions for MEP works, including cost estimation, contract administration, and project financial monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents for MEP works.

• Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations and technical proposals.

• Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports and forecasts.

• Measure and value work done on-site and prepare interim payment certificates.

• Handle variations, claims, and change orders related to MEP scope.

• Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contract terms.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.

• Support in budget control and financial tracking of projects.

• Ensure proper documentation for commercial and contractual records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• 4 years of experience in MEP Quantity Surveying or commercial roles within construction projects.

• Good understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.

• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost control, and contract management.

• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel (experience with QS or cost management software is a plus).

• Good communication and analytical skills.

• Good command of English.

Preferred Background:

• Experience working with construction contractors or MEP contractors.

• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is an advantage.
