Job Summary:
As a Senior Brand Manager in the food industry, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of branding and marketing initiatives for [Brand Name] food products. You will manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to go-to-market strategies, ensuring brand growth, consumer loyalty, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Strategy Development:
- Develop long-term brand strategies to ensure consistent growth and market share expansion.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for brand development and innovation.
- Position the brand effectively across various channels, ensuring differentiation and relevance in the food market.
- Product Lifecycle Management:
- Lead the development and launch of new products, including concept development, packaging design, and messaging.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to shelf.
- Manage and optimize the existing product portfolio by identifying underperforming products and proposing improvements or discontinuations.
- Marketing Campaigns:
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, in-store promotions, and traditional advertising.
- Coordinate with advertising agencies, media planners, and other external partners to deliver impactful campaigns.
- Track campaign performance and adjust strategies as necessary to meet KPIs.
- Consumer Insights & Market Research:
- Conduct and analyze consumer and market research to uncover insights that inform brand strategies and product innovations.
- Use consumer insights to enhance the brand's positioning and tailor messaging for target audiences.
- Budget Management:
- Oversee the marketing budget for the brand, ensuring that all marketing activities are executed efficiently and within budget.
- Allocate resources effectively across various marketing initiatives, monitoring ROI.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, supply chain, and finance teams to align brand strategies with business goals and market demands.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior brand managers and marketing staff to ensure cohesive execution of brand strategies.
- Brand Performance Tracking:
- Monitor and report on brand performance, including sales data, market share, and consumer perception.
- Use performance data to refine strategies and achieve brand growth targets.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in brand management, with a focus on food or consumer goods brands.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market trends, consumer insights, and brand performance data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling brand stories.
- Creative Thinking: Strong creative problem-solving abilities to drive brand innovation.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
- Digital Marketing: Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including social media, email, and e-commerce.
Preferred:
- Experience in the Food Industry: Knowledge of food trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements specific to food marketing.
- International Brand Experience: Experience working with global brands or launching products in multiple markets.
- Experience with Data Analytics Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Nielsen, IRI, or similar for data analysis.
