Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Garde Manger Chef to oversee the preparation of cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and charcuterie in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for high-quality ingredients, artistic plating, and efficient kitchen operations. This role requires excellent organization, creativity, and a strong understanding of cold kitchen techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, terrines, pâtés, and cured meats.
  • Ensure all cold kitchen items meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain proper storage, rotation, and handling of perishable ingredients.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ingredient orders with the purchasing team.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the cold kitchen area.
  • Develop new cold dishes and plating techniques to enhance menu offerings.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used, cleaned, and maintained.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Garde Manger Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen at Five Stars Hotels & Restaurants
  • Strong knowledge of cold food preparation techniques, preservation, and presentation.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for high-quality, artistic plating.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
