Sales Engineer - Oil and Gas

 Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled candidate to join our team as a Sales Engineer in Egypt.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth in the energy industry by understanding customer needs, working effectively in a team, and leveraging their sales experience. The main industry segments to be covered include marine, oil & gas, power, refineries, petrochemicals, chemicals, steel, mining, and fertilizers.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives:

  • Product and Service Promotion: Promote our range of products and services for the energy industry, including mechanical plugs, hot tapping and line stop equipment and services, pipes, valves, heat exchangers, separators, filters, and more.
  • Sales Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a documented sales plan to achieve sales targets and maximize financial returns for the company.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers while building new customer relationships.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather competitor intelligence and take appropriate market actions in consultation with Sales Management.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct 5-8 customer visits per week to showcase our solutions.
  • Proactive Initiative: Take a proactive approach, work independently, and demonstrate initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Actively look for opportunities to exceed customer expectations.
  • Green Energy Penetration: Explore opportunities to penetrate the green energy sector.

Workplace & Reporting:

This position reports directly to the Managing Director.

Required Qualifications and Background:

  • Sales Experience: 2-3 years of proven sales experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Industry Networking: Demonstrated experience and established networking within the relevant industries.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a must.
  • Education: A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; an MBA is a plus.
