Recruitment Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Recruitment Manager to lead talent acquisition efforts in our fast-paced food industry organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract, assess, and hire top talent across various functions including production, operations, supply chain, quality control, and corporate roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy aligned with business goals and seasonal hiring needs.

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for roles across manufacturing, food production, logistics, retail, and head office.

  • Partner with department heads to forecast hiring needs and understand role requirements.

  • Source candidates through multiple channels including job boards, social media, recruitment agencies, and industry events.

  • Oversee employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice in the food industry.

  • Maintain and improve recruitment KPIs such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and candidate satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with food industry labor regulations and internal policies during recruitment and onboarding.

  • Lead and mentor a small team of recruiters and coordinators.

  • Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software to manage candidate pipelines and reports.

  • Coordinate with HR and operations teams to streamline the onboarding process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or team lead role.

  • Previous experience recruiting within the food industry (e.g., manufacturing, processing, QSR, retail) strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to recruit for a wide variety of roles, from entry-level to senior management.

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices specific to the food sector.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with ATS platforms and recruitment analytics.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, or other food safety standards is a plus.

  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish, French, or others) may be beneficial depending on workforce demographics.

  • SHRM or other HR/recruitment certifications.
