The Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team at Pfizer is the compass and decision-support engine for our enterprise, harnessing the power of data to generate robust analytical insights that address our most critical business questions. Our global team, comprised of subject-matter experts from diverse backgrounds including data science, digital analytics, finance, market research, and consulting, collaborates to transform complex data into meaningful insights that directly impact patients' lives.

As an Integrated Insights & Strategy Lead for the Gulf markets, you'll spearhead efforts to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions through comprehensive market research and analytics. Your work will involve performance tracking, customer data mining, competitive analysis, and primary market research to deeply understand the market, generate actionable insights, and shape the market development and portfolio strategy for our Clusters.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative role covering a broad range of strategic topics crucial to our business. You'll join a global team of IIS colleagues dedicated to driving business growth through proactive thought leadership, innovative research capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex information creatively and effectively.

Role Responsibilities

Market Analytics

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with key Pfizer stakeholders to design, manage, and execute comprehensive analytics and market research plans within the Gulf Clusters.
  • Insight Generation: Connect research and analytical findings to construct compelling, persuasive narratives, delivering clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Prioritization & Optimization: Ensure analytic plans are prioritized to support brand strategy, optimize tactical and omnichannel initiatives, ensure efficient use of promotional resources, and provide a thorough understanding of the marketplace and competition to drive accelerated and informed commercial decision-making.
  • Advanced Analytics: Identify opportunities for advanced analytics and data science to address business challenges, leading cross-functional analytics teams as needed.

Performance Management & Operating Plan Support

  • Accurate Measurement: Ensure precise and effective performance measurement, providing regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of data implications for the business.
  • Reporting Excellence: Proactively identify reporting needs and ensure the high-quality delivery of essential reports and dashboards.
  • Annual Planning: Partner with key Pfizer stakeholders to support the development of annual Cluster Operating Plans for the Gulf markets.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Global-to-Local Adaptation: Collaborate with global and regional analytical teams to adapt overarching strategies effectively to the nuances of local Gulf markets.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Actively seek to share expertise and best practices with other IIS colleagues globally.
  • Alignment & Synergy: Proactively align with other analytics teams (Centers of Excellence, other regional/global, or country teams) to ensure cohesive activities with stakeholders and facilitate robust best practice sharing.

Vendor & Offshore Resource Management

  • Commissioning & Compliance: Oversee team commissioning and contracting through preferred vendors, ensuring all Primary Market Research projects meet corporate compliance and SOP obligations.
  • Budget Management: Be accountable for managing budgets associated with assigned activities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Innovation & Advantage: Drive continuous improvement by identifying and leveraging new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business within the Gulf markets.

Scope

This role specifically supports the Gulf markets only, contributing to $300M in revenue across 6 countries.

Qualifications

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Pharmaceutical Data: Familiarity with pharmaceutical data and visualization tools is preferred.
  • Data Analysis: Proven experience in the management of secondary data analytics.
  • Innovative Techniques: Experience using innovative techniques to monitor, simulate, and analyze complex datasets is preferred.
  • Market Research: Solid experience in both quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies.
