Job Summary:
The Railway Production Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of railway infrastructure and rolling stock production or maintenance activities. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage railway production schedules, including track laying, maintenance, signaling, or rolling stock assembly.

Lead and supervise teams of engineers, technicians, and production staff.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and environmental policies.

Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure materials and resources are available.

Monitor productivity and efficiency, implementing improvements where necessary.

Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues on-site or in the production line.

Manage budgets and cost control related to railway production or maintenance operations.

Maintain strong relationships with contractors, government bodies, and transport authorities.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Transportation, or related field.

5+ years of experience in railway infrastructure, manufacturing, or maintenance.

Proven experience in managing large-scale projects or production operations.

Strong understanding of railway systems, equipment, and safety regulations.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
Preferred:

Professional certification (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, or IRSE membership).

Experience with ERP or railway-specific project management software.

Familiarity with international railway standards (UIC, EN, AAR, etc.).
