The Treasury Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the organizations treasury operations, ensuring efficient cash management, liquidity forecasting, and compliance with financial regulations. This role involves leading a team, managing banking relationships, and developing treasury policies and procedures to optimize financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Management:
- Monitor daily cash positions and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Prepare cash forecasts and manage cash flow to maximize returns on idle funds.
- Banking Relationships:
- Maintain and develop relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Negotiate terms and conditions for bank services, loans, and lines of credit.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor treasury staff, providing guidance on cash management practices and professional development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and training sessions.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with financial regulations.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with treasury operations.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular treasury reports to senior management, highlighting cash positions, forecasts, and financial risks.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
- Policy Development:
- Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes impacting treasury functions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CTP) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of [5-7] years of experience in treasury management, with at least [2-3] years in a supervisory role.
