Job Title: Logistics Coordinator - Industrial

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to oversee the efficient management of logistics processes within our industrial operations. The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with the warehouse, transportation, and procurement teams to ensure that materials, products, and goods are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Planning & Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate the movement of goods and materials across multiple locations (suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses).
- Maintain inventory and ensure the proper storage and handling of products within industrial facilities.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to meet inventory needs.
- Shipping & Transportation:
- Organize and schedule shipments based on production schedules and customer requirements.
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Negotiate transportation rates and manage costs to optimize logistics operations.
- Monitor shipments and proactively address any delays or issues in transportation.
- Inventory Management:
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure stock is appropriately managed.
- Monitor stock movement to avoid overstocking or stockouts in critical areas.
- Conduct regular audits and updates of inventory records to ensure accuracy.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and government regulations related to logistics operations.
- Prepare reports on logistics performance, including shipment delays, cost analysis, and service levels.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve logistics challenges, such as inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or delayed shipments.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to manage any issues related to shipments.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with internal departments such as manufacturing, procurement, and sales to ensure a smooth logistics process.
- Ensure all stakeholders are informed of progress, updates, and any changes in the logistics schedule.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.
- Suggest improvements to reduce costs and improve overall logistics performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, transportation, and inventory management.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex logistics schedules.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Certification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field (e.g., APICS, CLTD, or similar).
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
Physical Requirements:
