Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled IT Manager with expertise in website management to lead the technology operations of our travel company. This dual-role position is responsible for ensuring smooth IT operations across the company and maintaining a high-performing, customer-focused website that supports our travel services, including hotel bookings, tour packages, and Nile cruises.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Management:
Oversee the day-to-day IT operations including hardware, software, network infrastructure, and security systems across all offices and branches.
Ensure the protection of customer data and compliance with data protection regulations relevant to the travel industry (e.g., GDPR).
Provide IT support to staff and ensure minimal downtime during critical sales and booking periods.
Manage relationships with third-party software providers such as booking engines, CRM systems, and GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre).
Evaluate and implement new travel technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
Website Management:
Maintain and update the company website, ensuring high availability, fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and a user-friendly booking interface.
Work with the marketing team to implement promotions, update travel content, and optimize pages for SEO.
Monitor website analytics and conversion performance and take action to improve user engagement and sales.
Manage integration with third-party booking engines, payment gateways, and customer review platforms.
Ensure website security, data backups, and SSL certificate management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably within the travel or hospitality sector.
Strong knowledge of website development and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla).
Familiarity with travel booking systems, GDS integration, and travel APIs.
Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital marketing tools.
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred:
Experience with OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) and B2B travel platforms.
Knowledge of e-commerce trends and UX/UI best practices for travel booking.
Experience with CRM tools and automated email marketing systems used in travel businesses
