IT Director – ERP & SAP (Industrial Manufacturing / Home Appliances)

Position Summary

The IT Director is responsible for defining and executing the organization's information technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, sales, and customer service functions. The role will lead enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital transformation initiatives, and SAP/ERP operations to support a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in home appliances, consumer durables, or related manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company's IT roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead IT governance, budgeting, vendor management, and technology investments.
  • Build and manage high-performing IT teams across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support functions.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive digital transformation initiatives.

ERP & SAP Leadership

  • Own the SAP/ERP landscape, ensuring reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, integration, and optimization projects.
  • Manage SAP modules relevant to manufacturing operations, including:
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP PP (Production Planning)
  • SAP MM (Materials Management)
  • SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
  • SAP WM/EWM (Warehouse Management)
  • SAP QM (Quality Management)
  • SAP PM (Plant Maintenance)
  • SAP FI/CO (Finance & Controlling)
  • Ensure seamless integration between SAP and manufacturing systems.

Manufacturing Systems & Operations

  • Support manufacturing execution systems (MES), shop-floor automation, and industrial applications.
  • Drive technology solutions that improve:
  • Production efficiency
  • Inventory accuracy
  • Supply chain visibility
  • Product quality
  • Operational performance
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to optimize business processes.

Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

  • Oversee enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, networks, data centers, and end-user computing.
  • Establish cybersecurity policies and risk management programs.
  • Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Manage external implementation partners, SAP consultants, and technology vendors.
  • Lead large-scale IT projects from planning through execution and post-go-live support.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA or relevant discipline) preferred.
  • 12–15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
  • 5+ years in a senior IT management or IT Director role.
  • Extensive experience leading SAP ERP environments within manufacturing organizations.
  • Proven success managing enterprise-wide ERP implementations and transformations.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain, procurement, warehousing, and finance systems.

Preferred Experience

  • Home appliances manufacturing.
  • Consumer electronics manufacturing.
  • White goods industry (refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, cooking appliances, etc.).
  • Multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
