Logistics Specialist

Job Summary

The Logistics Specialist will manage and coordinate all logistics activities related to the import, export, and local distribution of goods. The role ensures smooth movement of commodities/products from suppliers to customers while optimizing cost, time, and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters.
• Prepare, review, and follow up on shipping and trade documents including invoices, packing lists, BLs, certificates of origin, and insurance documents.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
• Handle customs clearance processes in coordination with customs brokers.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and company policies.
• Manage logistics costs, negotiate freight rates, and monitor invoices.
• Coordinate local transportation and delivery to warehouses or clients.
• Resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies efficiently.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, reports, and shipment databases.
• Coordinate closely with procurement, sales, finance, and warehouse teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles within a trading company.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and international trade documentation.
• Good understanding of Incoterms and customs regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); ERP system experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commodity trading, FMCG trading, or industrial materials trading.
• Experience dealing with international suppliers and overseas shipments.
• Cost control and freight optimization skills.
