This includes and not limited to general accounting, statutory accounts, tax, management accounts, treasury and cash management functions. Manage the staff of Accounting and Finances department and ensure people development and succession planning within the accounting function.

Advise the Managing Director on the strategic financial situation of the company, and suggest appropriate actions to mitigate financial costs and any financial implication

Ensure company receivable are collected within the agreed credit terms, minimize the Expected credit loss exposure on debtors.

Ensure Accounts payable (AP) procedures are followed /adhered to enhance the level of efficiency and effectiveness in the entire process.

Ensure effective inventory management through efficient monitoring of stock systems by ensuring that product movement and reconciliations are timely, accurately, and regularly reviewed.

Ensure assets register is accurate and reconciled with the physical count.

Ensure that the tax return and payment are made timely and ensure that tax management, tax planning processes are in full compliance with local requirements and optimization in the best interest of the company.

Maintain and establish bank relationships as necessary; ensure that the funding are necessary to support the company business needs; manage funds and investments in line with the Group guidance

Optimize the company working capital

Establish and continuously evaluate effective and efficient risk management processes, tools and procedures. Appraise management of the processes and the trends that have an impact on the business and financial wellbeing of the company.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, prepare budgets, forecasts and other KPI performance reports for the business

Manage external relationships with banks, tax and regulatory authorities

Ensure that the company is and remains compliant with all legislative financial requirements, regulatory accounting standards and financial best practice

Ensure annual statutory audits are performed by due dates. Optimize governance / improve internal control environment and comply with Group delegation of authorities

Ensure compliance to the segregation of duties and system accesses are periodically reviewed

Where applicable, oversee the preparation of the financial reporting as per Group requirements of the JVs and financial investments.

Oversee the procurement function, in terms of suppliers identification, qualification. Ensure that tendering processes are performed as per Group standards and are in full compliance with local regulations.

Effective participation in company management meetings including key cross functional meetings (credit committee, oil loss meeting, etc.)

Manage the credit department locally, to ensure tight respect and adherence to Group procedures

Participate on demand for any specific corporate finance project
