Finance Manager
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Oversee timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing of Asia books.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and IFRS/GAAP standards.
- Consolidate and analyze regional financial results and provide insights to management.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for Asia.
- Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and provide commentary.
- Support regional leaders with financial models and business case evaluations.
- Drive cost control, margin improvement, and performance tracking initiatives.
- 3. Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures across the region.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on audit findings.
- Maintain compliance with tax regulations, transfer pricing, and local regulatory requirements.
4. Business Partnering
- Collaborate with country finance teams, shared services, and business units to align financial practices.
- Support commercial and operational teams with financial insights for strategic decisions.
- Liaise with external advisors (auditors, tax consultants, banks) as needed.
5. Process Improvement & Systems
- Drive process standardization and automation initiatives across finance functions.
- Support system implementation or enhancements (e.g., ERP, reporting tools).
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial systems and reports.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including regional exposure in Asia.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAPs).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in Asian languages is a plus.
- This person must be flexible in the working hours.
