Sales Manager - Machinery (Desma, KPM Analytics)

Purpose of position:
The Sales Manager for Shoe Machinery & Analytical Equipment is responsible for independently managing and growing the sales of Desma shoe machinery and developing the market for KPM Analytics products across Vietnam. This role requires a strong technical sales background, expertise in business development, and the ability to independently engage with customers and report progress to the Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Market Development:
- Act as the primary representative for Desma shoe machinery and KPM Analytics products in the Vietnamese market.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive market penetration for KPM Analytics new product lines while strengthening Desmas presence.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, identify emerging trends, and uncover new opportunities for Desma and KPM Analytics products.
2. Business Development and Customer Engagement:
- Identify potential clients and engage with them to introduce Desma and KPM Analytics products, focusing on educating the market about KPM Analytics new offerings.
- Provide technical expertise on Desma shoe machinery and KPM Analytics products, addressing customer requirements and demonstrating product applications.
- Prepare and deliver engaging product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customized proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales independently, ensuring a clear alignment with customer requirements and budgetary constraints.
3. Order Completion and Coordination:
- Coordinate with operations team to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Issue quotations, ensure order processing, and maintain clear communication with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to facilitate smooth order fulfillment.
- Collaborate to address issues regarding product availability, quality, or delivery timelines.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
- Use CRM tools to log all sales activities, customer interactions, and order statuses.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary contact for inquiries and escalations.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive follow-up and timely issue resolution.
5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and customer insights to the Sales Director.
- Analyze data to evaluate sales effectiveness, assess conversion rates, and identify growth opportunities.
- Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for optimizing sales strategies and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in technical sales, with a focus on industrial machinery or analytical equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proactive, target-driven mindset with strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Vietnam and abroad for client meetings, exhibitions and site visits
