About the Role

Our client, a reputable player in the aviation services industry, is seeking a Component Repair & Technical Data Officer to support the accurate management of aircraft maintenance records and ensure smooth coordination of component repair logistics. This role is vital in ensuring database integrity, traceability, and efficient repair operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze maintenance records (e.g., DFP, PFR, TSD) to determine component removal reasons and relevant aircraft data.
  • Update maintenance information system (MIS) with accurate and traceable technical data.
  • Generate Return Order (RO) documentation based on removal reasons and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized technical records database and flag any abnormalities found.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies in maintenance records and take corrective action to prevent component quarantine.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to arrange the movement of unserviceable components to the repair network.
  • Manage drop-shipment of materials between operators, repair workshops, and storage locations; ensure all supporting documents are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and ensure performance targets are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement by sharing best practices, lessons learned, and suggesting process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in aviation technical records or component workshop planning (excluding internships or OJT).
  • Familiar with Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) or MRO ERP software.
  • Solid understanding of aircraft maintenance operations and component lifecycle management.
  • Experience with component logistics, ATA chapters, export control, INCOTERMS, and shipment tracking.
  • Knowledge of repair scopes including exchange, outright purchase, repair, overhaul, and BER.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking ability, and self-motivation.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
