Sourcing Specialist (sourcing office/hardlines)

The Sourcing Specialist is also responsible for supporting Sourcing Managers (SMs) in Vietnam and Regional offices to explore or assess new potential vendorsin Vietnam as needed; leveraging tools to manage vendor overall performance for continuous improvement, also seeking and reporting cost out opportunities during regular factory visits under Vietnam Sourcing Manager and Regional teams guidance.

Moreover, the Sourcing Specialist is also responsible for supporting the designated Vietnam Offices local operation process with guidance & instruction from Finance/HR teams.

To accomplish this, the Sourcing Specialist must have knowledge of import sourcing practices / procedures, vendor management, project management, administrative & operational process knowledge; negotiation and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Vendor Sourcing & Management - Support SMs on the vendor/product sourcing & development activities in Vietnam, managing vendor overall performance for continuous improvement. Also help resolve operational issues proactively with the collaboration of cross functional teams in Regional office.

Ship On Time - Support SM to evaluate factory production to ensure that they are able to meet requirements as it relates to production output and quality. Collaboration with cross functional teams in Asia and US to ensure PO on time delivery out of Asia.

System / Data Maintenance Coach vendors import processes & systems for business efficiencies and data accuracy. Utilize tools and other mechanisms for database maintenance and file / document management. Identify, recommend and implement the improvement opportunities of current processes and procedures (way of working) with collaboration of cross functional teams.

Office Operation - Support the designated Vietnam Offices local operation process with guidance & instruction from Regional Finance/HR teams, including accountable for office expense billing collection & payment, employees travel booking, local office vendors communication, employee attendance record collection, employee life cycle process support, HR related reports/documents delivery, and any other ad-hoc tasks upon request.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related fields

3+ years of experience in International Business, Sourcing, Merchandising, QA and/or Logistics

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong oral and written communication skills with fluency in English and predominate local language(s), Chinese is an advantage. 

Relevant industry experience related to retail market is a plus

Knowledge of manufacturing process and import sourcing practices / procedures is a plus.
