Quality and Safety Manager

 Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Accountable Manager the QCM Head, is responsible for management and implementation of the Quality Management Systems.

  • Extensive knowledge of CASA, FAA, EASA, and foreign NAA regulatory requirements desirable
  • Understanding of ISO 9001-2015 requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Show a proven ability to influence and motivate others to ensure compliance and maintain evidence records.
  • Experience in negotiating with aviation regulatory authorities and in preparing applications for authorisations and approvals.
  • Broad operational knowledge and experience in the functions of an MRO or Aviation Maintenance Facility
  • Ability to role model safe behaviours and lead cultural change across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Professionally trained in Quality Management with Lead Auditor Training desirable.
  • At least 5 years experience in quality and safety management
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience as an AME, Licenced Engineer or Aviation Degree Qualified
  • Extensive knowledge of Safety Management System application and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to engage and influence change.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Experience in the use of the MS Office suite of products.
  • Previous supervisory experience advantageous.
