Market Development & Operations Manager (Office Furniture)
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Market Development: Establish and expand business operations in the KL market, leveraging existing factory setup in JB and aligning with SG headquarters' strategy.
- Office/Showroom Setup: Spearhead the end-to-end setup of a new office/showroom, from sourcing suitable locations to managing layout, design, and vendor selection.
- Sales Strategy & Team Building: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, targeting key markets such as interior designers, contractors and relevant industry players.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead a sales team to drive business growth and market penetration.
- Vendor & Installer Network: Identify, negotiate, and establish relationships with local installers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Client Acquisition: Utilize existing customer base and industry networks to secure new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Business Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and profitability goals.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales performance, market trends, and operational efficiency, providing regular updates to the SG head office.
Requirements:
- Diploma with at least 3 to 5 years experience in business development, sales, or general management roles, with a focus on the Malaysia market, preferable from Office Furniture industry.
- Strong network and existing client base in KL, including interior designers, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Proven track record in setting up new business operations (from zero to one) is a plus.
- Experience in establishing showrooms, from conceptualization to execution.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Ability to work independently, strategize effectively, and drive business growth in a competitive market.
- Basic + profit sharing mode (discuss more during interview).
