SALES AND ACTIVATION MANAGER

LOCATION AND REPORT

  • Job Title: Sales and Activation Manager
  • Site: Bangkok, Thailand based
  • Scope: Thailand and Cambodia
  • Reporting to: Business Development Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the successful implementation of Company's sales strategy and activation plans across all channels, including Modern Trade, General Trade, Foodservice and E-commerce with focus on modern trade
  • Increase sales revenue in targeted key retails through development of specific customer plans through the implementation of in store projects activation, promotional & merchandising program from trade marketing
  • Highlight and share market trends, competitors activities and analysis to further optimize plans in the market. Take a proactive approach to account management, investigate, and solve issues in a timely & effective manner.
  • Work closely with the distributor key account team and brand management team to ensure share of voice within distributor team and ensure the implementation of Company plan including monthly business reviews and JBPs with retailers in Thailand and Cambodia
  • Ensure all plans are activated on time in full and able to highlight key white spaces and low hanging fruits to drive volume and distribution incremental (track distribution points)
  • Oversee and manage all third-party agencies engaged by Company, including sampling agencies, exhibition agencies, and gift with purchase (GWP) production agencies, ensuring that all projects meet Company's standards and guidelines. Work with PR agencies to ensure that all activations are executed on time in full
  • Drive operational excellence through merchandising operation excellence and in-store execution
  • Implement perfect store and upholding merchandising standards on primary, secondary displays including planning planogram rollouts with distributors and retailers
  • Propose and suggest suitable stores for investments including roadshows and promoter sampling activations
  • Managing and training merchandisers from distributors checklist on what merchandisers should take note
  • Ensure on time in full marketing activations on ground in accordance to trade plan
  • Follow up regularly business metrics, hold quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders (internally/externally) to assess opportunities and threats. Prepare and clearly communicate regular reports and improvement plan.
  • Liaise and partner with other Departments specifically brand manager and category and channel managers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Minimum degree and experience required:

  • Bachelors degree in from reputable university.
  • Min 5 years of experience. Key account management and trade marketing would be a big advantage. Experience with strong knowledge of FMCG market and negotiation, selling and communication.

Specific competencies required:

  • High level presentation, strong negotiation, leadership, communication and listening skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset, even under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Thailand and Cambodia shopper marketing and trade dynamics.
  • In Depth knowledge of sales performance metrics and commercial environment.
  • Proven track record project implementation and delivery of results to business plans
  • Project management and strong inter-personal skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to details.
  • Developing, fostering and sustaining solid & trustful relationships, ability to influence and network.
  • Ability to handle tough negotiations and resist internal/external pressure, problem solving mindset.
  • Collaboration and partnering with multi functions.

  • Fluent in English and Thai with ability to work in multi-cultural environments.
  • Able to travel frequently (Once a month)
