Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Rotary Wing

Job Responsibilities

Maintenance & Certification

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks on rotary-wing aircraft, including inspections, defect rectifications, and modifications.
  • Certify aircraft as fit for service by issuing Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) upon completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with approved maintenance data, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety standards.
  • Monitor and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner, coordinating with other operational teams to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Participate in emergency response and crisis management as required.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and compliance with airworthiness directives.
  • Prepare and submit reports related to maintenance activities, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events and critical troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the preparation of maintenance forecasts, including manpower, spares, and equipment needs.

Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in helicopter maintenance, with a strong operational and technical knowledge
  • Possess minimum in Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and proficiency in using maintenance management systems
  • Candidate is required to possess the following: B1.3 LAME, Related CASA Part 66 License and hold Current ASIC card or be eligible to hold Australian ASIC
  • Experience in Part 145
  • Capacity to refer to and interpret specifications/standards and written technical instructions
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines whiles part of the overall team
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Successful applicants must have a commitment to safety and employment is conditional upon satisfying aviation security and screening procedures.
  • Must hold a current Australian drivers license.
  • Experience on the following Helicopter & Powerplant types would be highly regarded
  1. Bell Series Helicopters 212/412 & 206/407,
  2. Airbus,
  3. Eurocopter, and
  4. Leonardo 139.
  5. Heavy maintenance experience
