Position Overview

The Sales Director will take full leadership of all sales activities and guide the company toward sustainable growth. The primary focus will be on developing the Modern Trade (MT) distribution channel nationwide (70%), complemented by the General Trade (GT) and Key Account (KA) channels (30%). The role involves sales strategy development, market expansion, and building a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop & Execute Business Strategy

  • Define the overall sales strategy aligned with company objectives.

  • Develop short- and long-term plans regarding sales, budgeting, and operations.

  • Analyze the market, competitors, and consumer behavior to adjust business directions in a timely manner.

  1. Distribution Channel Management

Modern Trade / Key Accounts (70%):

  • Maintain and grow relationships with supermarket chains, convenience stores, and strategic partners.

  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, optimizing terms favorable to the company.

  • Manage promotions and in-store display activities.

  • Monitor channel performance and update competitive pricing strategies.

General Trade (30%):

  • Expand the traditional distribution network nationwide.

  • Collaborate closely with distributors, agents, and retail stores.

  • Monitor sales efficiency, coverage, stock levels, and costs.

  • Develop and implement an effective Route-to-Market (RTM) plan.

  1. Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and guide a professional sales team.

  • Set clear KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and support the team to reach their goals.

  • Foster a positive, inspiring, disciplined, and productive work environment.

  1. Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work with the Marketing department to implement effective promotional campaigns.

  • Coordinate with Finance, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Join the senior leadership team to drive the companys overall growth in Vietnam.

  1. Problem Solving & Improvement

  • Proactively seek solutions to market issues as they arise.

  • Take full accountability for business performance: volume, cost, P&L, and distribution management.

  • Redesign the distribution model and team structure to align with the companys expansion ambitions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related fields.

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in sales within the FMCG industry, preferably in the snacks category.

  • Strong skills in strategic planning, team management, and market analysis.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Open-minded, with high integrity and the ability to influence the organization positively.

  • Proven experience in building and implementing distribution systems (RTM).

  • Capable of organizing and restructuring the sales force.

  • Reports directly to a Chinese General Director.
