Maintenance Coordinator (Chemical Industry)

 Job Description:

  • Working Hours: Weekdays, 8am to 430pm
  • Working Location: Jurong Island (Transport from Jurong East MRT)
  • Basic Salary: $4000 - $5000

Coordinate maintenance activities between production and technical departments to ensure seamless operations and compliance with safety standards. Support GCM/SDM MA & MO activities. Support work permit and authorization activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily operation and maintenance meetings to provide updates and support for maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities, including safe permit issuance, lockout-tagout (LOTO) preparation, GSAP approval, and supporting parties for effective job completion.
  • Ensure equipment is transitioned from maintenance to commissioning phase, verifying functionality post-maintenance.
  • Support capital projects and MOC activities by ensuring blanking, isolation, LOTO, and flushing plans are safely executed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance engineers on planning and execution of transition and turnaround activities.
  • Prepare markup P&IDs for GCM activities during transition for safe and timely start-up.
  • Work with shift team supervisors to complete maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning, washing) and coordinate contractor follow-ups before production handover.
  • Support work permitting and authorization processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors.

Our Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintenance planning and coordination, preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Independent, with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
