For Home Categories (ie. Furniture, Decoration, Handicraft)

The Sourcing Specialist shall support the Buying Company in:

• Carrying out market surveys to investigate market opportunities and trends.
• Suggesting commercial and development strategies.
• Making recommendations for the companies participation in trade fairs and exhibitions.
• Developing and maintaining market relationships and presence with new and existing vendors.
• Coordinating buyers trips to factories or manufacturers and supporting buyers during such trips.
• Supporting buyers in giving appropriate instructions to vendors on manufacture, preparation and shipment of the merchandise in accordance with Company and Group Company guidelines and requirements.
• When an order is ready for shipping, carrying out quality controls, including inspection and review with regard to customs requirements, product safety requirements, purchase order specifications, and legal requirements.
• Any other consulting services as expressly mutually agreed from time to time.
• Perform review of purchase orders to ensure that all required information is completed in accordance with Company and Group Company guidelines and requirements and advise the Company in case of missing or incorrect information.
• Monitor the purchase order process carried out by the Company itself and advise the Company of any possible issue.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of merchandise and strategic sourcing experience for the home categories (Furniture, Decoration, Handicraft)
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills required
• Proficient in English
• Be able to travel frequently across the country
