Role Overview:
The Sales / Business Development Market Research role is a self-driven position focused on generating and executing sales objectives for the organization. This role involves identifying prospects, generating leads, driving sales efforts, managing the entire sales cycle, presenting proposals, and negotiating contracts with assistance from Senior Management to finalize deals. The individual in this role is expected to meet the sales targets set in the business plan while ensuring high standards of integrity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Experience in the Market Research industry, particularly with both qualitative and quantitative online research methods and solutions, will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify target organizations, including both end clients and Market Research (MR) firms, interested in collaborating for sample supplies and joining the Marketplace platform.
  • Drive client acquisition by understanding their business needs, long-term objectives, and recommending suitable market research services and solutions.
  • Manage and execute the account management strategy and oversee account reviews.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on any account-related matters or concerns.
  • Act as the liaison between Operations and Clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key client decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal Business Leaders and key departments to ensure timely completion and submission of pre-qualification documents.
  • Participate in both internal and external events as required.

About You:

  • You possess strong business acumen in market research, including Panel Partnerships, API integrations, and both quantitative and qualitative studies.
  • You are capable of delivering effective sales presentations to customers and prospects at all organizational levels.
  • You can address complex market research inquiries, clearly explaining benefits, competitive advantages, and managing follow-up technical discussions.
  • You appreciate the importance of a value-based sales approach.

  • You stay updated on the competitive landscape, which enables you to craft winning proposals and pricing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or MBA with approximately 10 years of experience in Sales / Business Development, particularly within the Market Research industry (online/offline solutions).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and BI Dashboards.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong drive for success.

Performance Metrics:
Success in this role will be determined by the achievement of sales targets, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date lead and opportunity pipeline, and effectively managing your territory to uncover new business prospects.
