Job Description

  1. Lead the production team to ensure quality products produced at production rate while adhering to safety standards
  2. Manage shop floor layout and set best practices, including tool management, FOD mitigation, part control, machine preventative maintenance and safety protocols
  3. Ensure productivity and utilization of team remains high
  4. Manage Direct Order fulfilment process and customer commit dates
  5. Risk mitigation, including Excess and Obsolescence management
  6. Development and execution of outsourced assemblies and strategic component alternate sourcing plans
  7. Initiate, coordinate and enforce production, safety, and quality systems, policies, and procedures
  8. Serve as a liaison with designers, clients and other stakeholders to maximize efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction
  9. Develop and track metrics to continuously monitor and improve all aspects of the production process.
  10. Improvement, utilizing initiatives to reduce costs and support the attainment of established goals.
  11. Play a key role in the implementation of new processes, equipment, and products.
  12. Engage in employee development activities, providing regular feedback and coaching to enable career development for team
  13. Create and manage team staffing plans to meet production demands by recruiting, hiring and retaining top talent
  14. Responsible for team training plan and setting standards for workmanship
  15. Build a strong team culture of accountability, collaboration, flexibility, respect and ownership
  16. Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, )
  • 5+ years of production management, proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
  • Experience in the welding industry with CWI certificate is an advantage
  • Experience in a fast paced start up environment
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment, report any accidents, near misses or safety concerns.
  • Understanding & ensuring the Working Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS).
  • Time management, scheduling and organizational skills
  • Has ability to prioritize task and to delegate to team
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically.
