Locum Dietitian (2 months)
Job Description:
Job Summary:
- To fulfill mission of hospital by providing dietetic services and health promoting education to both in and outpatients and staff
Responsibilities and Duties:
- To assess, monitor and optimize the nutritional status of patients
- To ensure that meals prepared for patients meet their nutritional needs, in accordance to the physician's orders and the recommended daily dietary guidelines, by liaising with and guiding the kitchen service staff
- To develop and implement specific diet strategies, provide education to patients and their family members or caregivers on nutrition and dietary requirements to increase awareness of importance of nutrition and health/disease prevention
- To assist in providing training & education to hospital staff on relevant nutrition related issues
- To contribute and review regularly nutrition-related and health promoting materials available for internal & public access (in house & external educational materials)
Job Requirements:
- Minimum qualification is a Degree in Dietetics OR Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics OR Degree in Nutrition with Post-Graduate Diploma in Dietetics recognized in Singapore
- Preferably a Member of Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA) or Dietetics Association membership in the country of training
- Must have at least 2 - 3years of clinical work experience
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Working Days:
- Tuesday / Wednesday and Friday (Full day - 8.30 am to 5.30 pm); Tuesday/ Wednesday (Half day) (8.30 am to 12.30 pm) => 17 to 21 hours per week
