Lab Technician (12hrs shift / GC/HS, HPLC )

 Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Support Laboratory Manager on the operation of the QC laboratory
  • Interacts collaboratively with production team to communicate test results,
  • recommend corrective action.
  • Performing a variety of daily to complex QC tests. Involved in performing
  • calculations, recommending general formula, and responding to productions
  • questions and concerns.
  • Empowered to advise production technicians based on the judgement and
  • interpretation of results within general guidelines
  • Ensure smooth laboratory supplies to guarantee uninterrupted QC function
  • To ensure compliance of all laboratory activities to security, safety & environment
  • procedures & requirements
  • Provides training, guidance, technical counsel to new technicians
  • Investigates, prepares, and practices routine and non-routine analytical
  • methodology
  • Main contact to Process Engineer/Shift Leads.
  • Ensure compliance in QC work instruction adhere to ISO 9001 / FAMI-QS .
  • Cleans, maintains, and calibrates complex equipment and maintains a clean and

safe work environment

Trainings

  • Provide QC training requirements to new QC technician
  • Complete refresh training on time
  • Coordination
  • Response to support and coordinate with different departments for all QC relative activities.

HSE

  • Be involved in site HSE&S efforts. This may include but not limited to involvements in
  • LSR, BBS, SAQ, safety committee, incident investigation, ERT, safety inspections,
  • internal/local audits, HIRA, hazard studies (HAZOP) and others as deemed
  • necessary by the site management for the continual improvement of site HSE&S
  • performance.
  • Involve in hazard recognition and safety improvement for the lab.
  • Executes HSE&S assignments as set by the QA/QC Manager

Requirements

  • Diploma in Chemistry (Organic, Physical or Analytical) with 3 years relevant working experience in a chemical/petrochemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing facility; a proven track record..
  • Quality minded attitude.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 is preferred
  • Good working knowledge of QC equipment including GC/HS, HPLC, auto-titrator,
  • pH meter, balance, etc
  • Good working knowledge of QC manual-titration. Experience of Amine relative
  • testing is preferred
  • Experience with SAP is an added advantage.
