Key Account Manager
Job Description:
- Responsible for managing the accounts in his/her portfolio including tailoring promotional strategies to achieve his/her sales target, executing channel/brand plans and maximize return on promotional investments in line with the company objectives and strategies.
- To supervise the development of tactical plans to meet sales, and merchandising objectives and to ensure effective implementation.
- Formulate account specific promotional strategies for each customer in assigned portfolio towards achieving the assigned sales target by incorporating sales/brand plans.
- Other key task inclusive of execution, monitoring, and evaluation of promotional plans. He/she should initiate business review with the customer through a formal. Minimum 4 review session annually with key retailers through on a quarterly basis.
- To ensure that the set target of products distribution, shelf presentation and merchandising are being met and constantly maintained.
- Ensure optimum ROI and investing within allocated promotional funds.
- Drive towards meeting distribution objectives for existing and new products.
- To monitor and control all budgeted expenditure and ensure cost effective spend to optimize benefit gained from allocated funds and all the company owned assets.
- Participate in the drafting and lead 1st round of annual Trading Terms negotiation with relevant key retailers.
- Provide forecast input to sales planning department for shipment/production planning.
- To train and coach the sales force through established systems and procedures. Always lead by example so as to ensure a highly motivated team whose quality and potential are at maximum level.
- To ensure that sales objective for the sales department is communicated to the sales force and maintain a concerted effort from the team by reviewing and appraise their sales objectives at regular intervals
- To develop and implement innovative tactical plans jointly with sales planning and to ensure the on-going category development; and also to anticipate future business trends and business opportunities.
