Sales Manager - Machinery (Coffee Roasters, Can Making)

Purpose of position:

The Sales Manager for Machinery is responsible for independently managing and growing sales of Probat (coffee roasters), Soudronic (can-making), Pillar Technologies (metal packaging) and from other industry-leading manufacturers within Vietnam. This role requires a proactive approach to business development, customer relationship management, and technical sales, with reporting to the Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Act as the primary representative for Probat, Soudronic, Pillar Technologies in the Vietnamese market.
- Develop and implement a sales strategy tailored to the coffee roasting, can-making, and metal packaging sectors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, emerging trends, and potential growth areas for each product line.

2. Business Development and Customer Engagement:
- Identify and engage potential clients in coffee roasting, beverage, and packaging sectors, presenting tailored equipment solutions to meet their needs.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of Probat, Soudronic, Pillar Technologies products to communicate their unique benefits effectively.
- Prepare and deliver engaging product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customized proposals to potential clients.

Negotiate contracts and close sales independently, ensuring a clear alignment with customer requirements and budgetary constraints.

3. Order Completion and Coordination:
- Coordinate with operations team to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Issue quotations, ensure order processing, and maintain clear communication with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to facilitate smooth order fulfillment.
- Collaborate to address issues regarding product availability, quality, or delivery timelines.

4. Customer Relationship Management:
- Use CRM tools to log all sales activities, customer interactions, and order statuses.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary contact for inquiries and escalations.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive follow-up and timely issue resolution.

5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, orders, and market analysis for management review.
- Track order pipelines, conversion rates, and customer feedback to identify improvement areas.
- Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for optimizing sales strategies and processes

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience in technical sales, ideally within the coffee roasting, packaging, or industrial machinery sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proactive, target-driven mindset with strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Vietnam and abroad for client meetings, exhibitions and site visits.
