Responsibilities:

• Design new mechanical features and improvements for automation customized machinery.
• Generate innovative ideas and initiative in new product mechanical design.
• To plan organize, co-ordinate and implement projects in timely manner to ensure schedule and requirements are met to customer criteria
• Participation in feasibility studies, quotation, design, product development to presentation.
• Involved in the full product development cycle from conceptual design, component selection, part detail design, managing vendor tool fabrication, parts approval, and mass production.
• Support manufacturing engineering as necessary and provide appropriate tools and techniques to the service organization
• Involved in product sustenance engineering and value engineering.
• Ensure product design meets mandatory and quality requirements, within targeted cost and project timeline.
• Liaise with vendors on parts, tools, assembly fabrication to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Follow up with hand on troubleshooting and training.

Requirements:

• Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline.
• Min 3 to 5 years mechanical design experience for contract manufacturing and automation industry.
• Good design experience in Machine Automation, Robotic Systems, Material Handling Systems and good to have experience in Fixtures & Tooling.
• Good problem solving skills & leadership capability
• Good knowledge on Solid Works
