Trauma Coordinator

 Job Description:

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely entry of the trauma data into the National Trauma Registry (NTR), as well as perform routine data analysis and reporting to the hospitals multidisciplinary Trauma Committee.
  • The incumbent is expected to be versatile in undertaking various roles to support the clinical team in provisioning quality trauma care and assist in the implementation of processes to ensure the care continuity for the trauma patients.
  • The incumbent will also provide secretariat support to the multidisciplinary Trauma Committee and participate in the planning and coordination of trauma-related events, courses, research and other projects.

You will be responsible for the following:

Trauma Registry

  • Perform daily trauma care screening.
  • Collect required trauma data, perform injury coding and data entry.
  • Conduct 6- and 12-months follow-up outcome interviews for severe trauma patients.
  • Participate in routine data quality and completeness validation and cleaning.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in trauma-related outcome and injury prevention research.
  • Assist in the reviewing of data requirements, abstraction guidelines and registry workflow.
  • Participate in annual data audits.
  • Administrative and Operational Support
  • Assist in the operational planning and setup of Trauma Service
  • Provide secretariat support to the multidisciplinary Trauma Committee.
  • Assist in evaluating and addressing issues arising from trauma care delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to the trauma related policy and work instructions by the Trauma Team.
  • Facilitate and ensure smooth delivery and quality continuity of care for the trauma patients.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of trauma-related events, courses, and projects.

Requirements

  • A good Degree in Nursing (Singapore Registered Nurse) or Biomedical Sciences and its related.
  • At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiar with MS Applications, especially MS Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint/Outlook/PowerBI.
  • Experience in database management and generating statistics would be advantageous.
  • Project management capabilities and experience in driving a cohesive team and cross teaming environment.
  • Possess confidence to resonate with senior management leadership internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skill.
