Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager

 Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

1) Strategic Financial Management

a) Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and execute financial plans while performing in-depth analysis to identify weaknesses and discrepancies, offering solutions to improve P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow outcomes.
  • Continuously monitor the business's financial health and ensure alignment with budgetary targets.

b) Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring adherence to RBU and Group directives and deadlines.
  • Produce precise and realistic budgets by thoroughly scrutinizing inputs for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with established procedures and financial goals, and providing insightful recommendations.
  • Consolidate data and actively participate in budget-related meetings and discussions.

c) Business Finance Advisory

  • Support company management and RBU controllers in making informed financial decisions across all business areas, including profitability and margin analysis, customer payment models, and terms.
  • Collaborate with BU controllers, CSU, and the commercial function in CCC (or in-house) on financial aspects of contracts with customers and suppliers.

2) Inventory Oversight

a) Inventory Evaluations

  • Assess ownership of equipment and parts deliveries for projects, ensuring accurate classification as inventory.
  • Oversee inventory valuation, ensuring compliance with group policies and accounting standards, accurate quantification, and proper valuation; support inventory counts and perform reconciliations on discrepancies.
  • Provide financial support to the purchasing department and liaise on tax and legal matters with CCC and/or Group.

3) Treasury Functions

a) Local Treasury Management

  • Safeguard cash for local business operations.
  • Execute local treasury activities in compliance with established treasury policies, guidelines, and rules.
  • Maintain, update, and report treasury information and data as required by the Group Treasury System.

b) Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

  • Assist BU controllers in monitoring and managing financial assets.
  • Enhance business working capital and liquidity management, track DO/SO and stock aging, optimize fund utilization, and analyze collection trends and stock turnover.
  • Work with Group Treasury to minimize transaction and interest costs, maximize interest income, and repatriate cash as needed.
  • Monitor customer payment aging and take appropriate actions.

c) Project & Cash Flow Planning

  • Manage business cash flow forecasting, improve forecast accuracy, and participate in cash pooling.
  • Ensure sufficient cash availability to meet obligations, manage external bank borrowings, and coordinate intercompany funding with Group Treasury.

d) Currency & FX Risk Management

  • Proactively manage FX risks and support company management and RBU controllers in understanding FX exposure implications in business decisions.
  • Track and manage transactional foreign currency exposure, understanding its impact on P&L and balance sheet, and ensuring compliance with group policies and accounting standards.
  • Provide FX risk mitigation solutions in consultation with Group Treasury, including currency hedging strategies.

4) Reporting & Compliance

a) Management & Group Reporting

  • Collaborate with HUB to review and approve monthly and yearly account closures.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to Group and RBU.
  • Assist company management and RBU controllers in preparing customized reports as needed.

b) Statutory Accounts Reporting

  • Collaborate with HUB in preparing and participating in annual stock and debtor reviews.
  • Prepare audit schedules with HUB.
  • Draft, review, and finalize audited accounts as applicable.
  • Work with HUB to prepare the BPC legal pack for annual Group statutory reporting.

c) Internal Control Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with Groups internal control procedures and DOA policies.
  • Review and improve business processes to enhance controls where necessary.
  • Work with RBU controllers, HUB, and/or CCC to address and resolve internal audit findings promptly.

5) Additional Responsibilities

  • Undertake any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a finance/accounting executive role, preferably in a project environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP is essential.
  • Strong skills in finance and accounting, financial analysis, and treasury management.
  • Analytical, forward-thinking, and proactive in problem-solving (business partnering).
  • Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Diplomatic, with strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
  • Professional communication with internal and external customers.
