National Sales Manager (Confidential)

About the Role:

Our client, a leading agriculture (crop protection) company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Confidential National Sales Manager to lead and inspire a dynamic and high-performing sales team across the nation. This critical role will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 40 - 50 sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive national sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends.
  • Analyze market data, identify key opportunities, and develop targeted sales plans to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to management on sales progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Oversee the management of sales budgets and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant sales policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive sales management experience in the agriculture industry, experience in crop protection is a plus. 
  • Proven track record of success in leading and developing high-performing sales teams, exceeding sales targets, and achieving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Experience working with and managing a large and diverse sales team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic, results-oriented, and a team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with multinational companies (MNCs) in the agriculture sectors
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
