Project Manager (Automation)

 Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the implementation of automation systems within an organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of business processes.
  • Responsible for leading and managing automation projects from initiation through completion. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that automation solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 
  • Oversee the deployment of automation technologies, manage project risks, and ensure that all project milestones are achieved.
  1. Project Planning and Management:

    • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
    • Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
    • Coordinate and manage project activities to ensure timely and successful completion.
  2. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
    • Facilitate meetings and presentations to review project status and address any concerns.
  3. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor project teams, including automation engineers, analysts, and other relevant personnel.
    • Assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor team performance.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  4. Technical Oversight:

    • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions.
    • Ensure that automation technologies align with organizational goals and standards.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  5. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor project risks and implement contingency plans as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  6. Budget and Resource Management:

    • Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.
    • Ensure that projects are delivered within budget constraints.
  7. Quality Assurance:

    • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that automation solutions meet established standards and requirements.
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical specifications.
    • Prepare and present reports on project performance, outcomes, and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on automation or technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, or similar) are a plus.
