Our client is a leading French bakery manufacturer with a strong presence in Asia. They currently operate two factories in the region, including one in Thailand, with regional headquarters based in Bangkok. Committed to delivering high-quality French bakery products, they are expanding their team and seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join as a Regional Business Manager for Southeast Asia.
Position Overview:
As the Regional Business Manager for Southeast Asia, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth within the region. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and nurturing relationships with existing food distributors, as well as identifying and onboarding new distributors. This position is based in Bangkok, but it involves extensive travel within Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market presence in Southeast Asia.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing food distributors, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distributors to expand the company's reach.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives including to internal other team such as marketing, supply chain, and product development, to support business expansion.
- Provide leadership to a team of 2 Sales Executives (Export) and 2 Back Office staff.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to enhance brand presence.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field. (MBA is a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in export sales, business development, or international trade, preferably in the food & beverage industry.
- Proven track record in developing and managing international markets, particularly in Southeast Asia.
- Strong understanding of the Southeast Asian Market, and export procedures, trade regulations, and distribution channels.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive business growth in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English; knowledge of French or local languages is a plus.
- Ability to travel extensively within the Southeast Asia Region.

Sales turnover target:
- South-East Asia area: Cambodia, India, Myanmar, The Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam Malaysia, Laos, The Maldives, Sri Lanka, Indoguna (managed by Singapore).
- Top 3 markets as of today: Cambodia, Taiwan and India.
- Net Turnover last budget year: 1.4M EUR, Expected turnover this budget year: 1.8M EUR.
Mission main goals:
- Set up a business development strategy per country for the region (short / medium term).
- Secure current business (distributors / key accounts).
- Take the lead of the export team.
- Prospection: find new prospects and open new accounts in the region.
