Technical Specialist M365 Support & Management

 Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design, Deploy and Maintain

  • Support the deployment, configuration, and management of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and health of M365 applications and services.
  • Implement minor updates and assist with system rollouts and feature enablement.
  • Collaborate with central IT and architecture teams to ensure standards and practices are followed.

2. Requirements Analysis

  • Work with business analysts and key users to identify collaboration and productivity needs.
  • Translate business requirements into Microsoft 365 configurations, features, or automation solutions (e.g., Power Automate).

3. System Administration

  • Perform day-to-day administration of Microsoft 365 tenant settings, licenses, permissions, and access policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues in collaboration with the service desk and central M365 support team.
  • Maintain user profiles, access rights, and content policies in SharePoint and Teams.

4. Security and Compliance

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of Microsoft security and compliance features such as DLP policies, Conditional Access, MFA, and Information Protection labels.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory policies related to data storage, sharing, and access control within M365 services.

5. Documentation

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation for M365 services, site-specific configurations, and known issue resolutions.
  • Assist in developing user guides and knowledge base content for Microsoft 365 usage and support.

6. Incident Management

  • Ensure service availability and business continuity by promptly addressing outages and access issues at site level.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications preferred:

    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate

Experience:

  • 2-5 years in a technical support or system administration role with hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience supporting SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Intune.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Admin Center tools, and Microsoft Security/Compliance Center.
