Job Summary

Amazon Now MENA is seeking a highly capable Senior Business Analyst – Analytics, Automation & AI to build and scale its analytics and automation capabilities across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

This hybrid role combines strategic business analysis with hands-on technical development. The successful candidate will own critical datasets, metrics, reporting systems, automated data pipelines, AI-enabled workflows, and web-based analytics applications. The position requires someone who can independently translate complex and ambiguous business challenges into scalable, end-to-end technical solutions that support real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Data Foundation and Analytics

• Design, build, and maintain core data tables, data marts, and standardized metric definitions across multiple regions.
• Establish well-governed and scalable data models that support business growth.
• Retrieve, analyze, and model large datasets using SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools.
• Develop reports and analytical solutions using Tableau, Power BI, or Amazon QuickSight.
• Monitor business-as-usual operations and major event performance.
• Deliver actionable insights across Marketing, Profitability, Supply Chain, Inventory, In-Stock Performance, Operations, Delivery Experience, Voice of Customer, and Topline Performance.
• Act as a trusted analytical advisor to business leaders and relevant stakeholders.

Automation and AI Engineering

• Design and develop automated data pipelines covering data ingestion, transformation, validation, and publishing.
• Build production-grade automation solutions using Python and relevant cloud services.
• Develop AI agents and LLM-powered workflows for classification, root-cause analysis, anomaly detection, and automated insight generation.
• Integrate foundation models through AWS Bedrock or similar platforms.
• Develop reusable automation modules for forecasting, alerting, and diagnostic analysis.
• Integrate automated solutions into existing business processes to reduce repetitive and manual work.
• Ensure that automation and AI solutions are scalable, reliable, and properly documented.

Analytics Applications

• Develop React-based analytics applications that provide interactive, self-service analytical capabilities.
• Build and integrate the supporting backend services, including APIs, serverless functions, and query layers.
• Replace static dashboards and manual reporting processes with scalable, application-based analytics tools.
• Build user-friendly analytical interfaces that support operational and leadership decision-making.
• Manage the complete development process, from data ingestion to the final user interface.

Business Enablement

• Partner with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for operational and analytical improvement.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Deliver end-to-end solutions with minimal supervision.
• Convert AI-generated insights into repeatable business processes and decision-making mechanisms.
• Enable self-service analytics by developing scalable data products, tools, and applications.
• Support stakeholder adoption of newly developed analytics and automation solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in business analytics, data analytics, business intelligence engineering, data engineering, or a comparable role.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience querying and modelling large datasets.
• Strong Python skills, including experience developing production-grade pipelines and automation solutions.
• Strong experience with at least one BI tool, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Amazon QuickSight.
• Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders independently, define project scope, and deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
• Ability to work with ambiguous business requirements and convert them into scalable solutions.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in analytics or data-related roles, including automation or data-product development.
• Experience developing applications using React or another modern frontend framework.
• Practical exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language models.
• Experience with foundation-model integration, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, or AI tool use.
• Experience with AWS services, including Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, and S3.
• Experience developing production-grade scheduled or event-driven workflows using Airflow, cron, or Amazon EventBridge.
• Familiarity with data warehouses and distributed data-processing technologies, including Redshift, Athena, Spark, or similar tools.
• Understanding of business domains such as supply chain, inventory, in-stock performance, operations, marketing, delivery experience, customer analytics, or topline performance.
• MBA or master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
