Hands-on Plant manager / Head of Operations, Hungary (Electromechanical Components)

For our Swiss client, we are looking for a Plant Manager to manage the manufacturing of electromechanical components in Győr-Moson-Sopron county. We are seeking a versatile person with sound technical know-how to be responsible for the hands-on management of the site.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the manufacturing industry with a focus on cable assembly, LED lighting, electromechanics and mechatronics

Our client experiences very dynamic growth. Due to the strong business growth, their previously 700sqm production facility was more than doubled, with an additional 1170sqm in 2021.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume overall P&L responsibility for the smooth running of the site
  • Plan, organise and monitor all operational processes to achieve our client's high-quality standards, production and financial targets
  • Lead and motivate teams, ensuring efficient collaboration between purchasing & logistics, production, finance, and quality departments
  • Continuing lean management principles, process optimisation and cost management for continuous improvement of operational processes
  • Execute budget planning, control, and monitor cost developments
  • Closely cooperate with other locations of the group companies
  • Realise and follow the operational and strategic goals, reporting to the Head of Operations EMEA in Switzerland

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • University degree in electronics or similar discipline
  • At least five years of professional experience in a managerial position in a manufacturing sector (automotive or industrial)
  • Sound knowledge of lean management, process and quality optimisation, production planning as well as cost and budget management
  • Solid knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015, advantage: IRIS (ISO/TS 22163).
  • Excellent command of Hungarian and English is a must, German is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills, communication skills and team orientation
  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • High self-motivation, assertiveness, resilience, and hands-on approach
