Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Description:
Our client in the Upper Eastside is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and support our housekeeping team.
This role requires a hands-on leader who has progressed from a Room Attendant level and understands the operational demands of a busy hotel environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years housekeeping experience within a hotel environment
- At least 6 months experience in a supervisory role
- Proven experience working as a Room Attendant (worked up from entry level)
- Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping standards and procedures
- Well-groomed and professionally presented
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations
- Lead and manage a team of Room Attendants and housekeeping staff
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure brand and quality standards are met
- Ensure efficient room turnaround times in line with occupancy levels
- Train, coach, and support housekeeping team members
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain stock control of linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies
- Report maintenance issues and follow up to ensure resolution
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Deliver exceptional guest service and respond professionally to guest requests and complaints
