Bookkeeper

 Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial administration, supporting the current Chartered Accountant (CA), and ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping and reporting.

The ideal candidate should have strong bookkeeping experience, advanced Excel skills, and experience working on accounting software such as Xero or Pastel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily administrative and bookkeeping tasks
  • Support the current Chartered Accountant (CA) with financial operations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Process invoices, reconciliations, and payments
  • Maintain creditor and debtor accounts
  • Ensure all financial documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Capture and maintain accounting data on relevant systems
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
  • General finance and office administration duties as required

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
  • Experience working with Xero or Pastel accounting software
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and bookkeeping principles
  • Computer literate with strong administrative capabilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
