Senior CNC Factory Manager
Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Senior CNC Factory Manager to lead and manage our advanced CNC AMADA factory. This role involves the day-to-day oversight of high-end CO2, Fibre, and RI Laser Machines, AMADA Punch Presses, and Bending Machines, along with staff management, production planning, quality assurance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep CNC machine knowledge, and proven experience running a high-volume sheet metal manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Operations & Production Oversight
- Run the production line for CO2, Fibre, and RI CNC AMADA Laser Machines.
- Manage the full production line of AMADA Bending Machines and Punch Press Machines.
- Oversee machine setup, programming, maintenance, and daily operational efficiency.
- Maintain and report any laser machine maintenance issues proactively.
- Consult with management to resolve manufacturing or assembly problems.
Materials & Workflow Management
- Manage raw materials in and out of the factory.
- Ensure effective material usage, traceability, and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Staff & Department Leadership
- Accomplish department objectives by planning, organizing, and evaluating activities.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train production staff.
- Maintain staff performance through clear job expectations, continuous feedback, and regular performance reviews.
- Encourage and create personal development opportunities for the team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, productivity, and collaboration.
Policy, Procedures & Safety
- Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Ensure that safe work practices are consistently followed and health & safety standards are maintained.
- Conduct regular safety audits, promote awareness, and address any hazards promptly.
Quality Control & Improvement
- Maintain quality service by enforcing customer and industry standards.
- Analyze and resolve quality problems, implement improvements, and ensure consistent product output.
- Drive continuous improvement across all areas of production and team performance.
- Actively participate in all aspects of production where necessaryleading from the front.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in a CNC machine shop environment, with strong exposure to laser cutting, bending, and punching in sheet metal fabrication.
- Proven people management/supervisory experience.
- Hands-on experience in laser programming and nesting software.
- Experience with AMADA Dr Abe Tube Programming is highly advantageous.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in operating, maintaining, and optimizing bending and laser machines.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A proactive, hands-on leader with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
